Cassie Scerbo was an American actor, singer and dancer who came to prominence when she was selected for the girl-only pop band "Slumber Party Girls" that was the host of CBS's kids' musical variety program Dance Revolution during the mid 2000s. The show later gained fame for her acting in the direct-to-video documentary Bring It On. In It to Win It and the ABC Family show Make It or Break It. Scerbo is best known for her role as Nova Clarke, the lead role in the four films from the Sharknado phenomenon. Scerbo is an avid sports and fitness enthusiast and a avid philanthropist, who devotes much of her time to environmental concerns as well as social issues such HIV/AIDS awareness and sex-trafficking. She also works on providing safe drinking water in Africa. Scerbo is known for her frequent visits at the hospitals for children in Los Angeles.
